Impact of Stem Integrated Argumentation-Based Inquiry Applications on Students ' Academic Success, Reflective Thinking and Creative Thinking Skills

The purpose of the study is to determine effect argumentation-based inquiry approach (ABI) and STEM-supported ABI on students’ academic achievement, scientific creativity reflective thinking skills for problem solving, students' views about process. Explanatory sequential design, one mixed research methods, was used in study. A total 41students (N=20 boys, n=21 girls) studying seventh grade a secondary school north-east Turkey constitute group. In study, two classes that same teacher attended randomly determined where an group (N=21) other (N=20). groups worked with throughout quantitative dimension Academic Achievement Test, Reflective Thinking Scale Problem Solving, Scientific Creativity used, while semi-structured interview form qualitative dimension. Independent Groups T Test ANCOVA were applied analysis data. Content performed research, it concluded success are more developed applications made by integrating STEM into approach.
